The film starts with Yash in hospital and remembering the accident happened to him and Vishnu kidnapping Maya. ACP Yashvardhan (John Abraham )meets Maya (Genelia D'Souza)while he is on a drug mission. Maya thought him as a thug at the very first meeting with him and they met twicw after that and every time she misbehaved with him. One night when maya coming from a late night show police catched him and her friend didnt had the driven license with him and fortunately the police people were under ACP Yasvardhan and he saw her getting into trouble and he saved her.

Then Maya got to know that the person she thought as a thug is really a ACP officer. The next day she met him by a accident and apologized to him and one day when maya is crossing the the road she met with a accident because she was looking at yash and hasnt notice the car. With time they started to meet, talk and go out regularly.Then maya said 'I Love You'to him and he said no because he didnt want to make a weakness in his professional life. But when swati (Sandhya Mridul) said her that he is really in love with maya he decided to get married to her. By the time there has been a big drug case and Mahesh Pande(Raj Babbar),Atul Kalseka (Mohnish Bahl), ACP Yashvardhan & Kamlesh together killed Reddy (Mukesh Rishi)whule he is peddling drugs. After that Yash, Mahesh & Kamlesh got suspended for killing Reddy instead of arresting him. Reddy's brother Vishnu (Vidyut Jamwal)promised to himself that he will kill all the Reddy's killer before doing anymore drug business. His first attack was Yash but he managed to survive from it. Vishnu's second attack was on Zonal and it was successful because he killed Mahesh and raped her girlfriend Rachana (Anaitha Nair) infront of him. Next week Yash and Maya got married. But the day they got married Swati got kidnapped by Vishnu and asked Atul to tell where Yash will be at night to kill him. When Yash and Maya is sleeping Vishnu and his people came and shot three bullets into Yash and kidnapped Maya.However Yash managed to survive once again.

Vishnu broke his promise that he made to Atul which is he will release Swati after he told him the place yash spend the night. So Vishnu rang him and asked where is Swati and he said kill Yash first then he will release her. To get Swati back he entered the room whre Yash rests and tried to kill him but he couldnt manage to kill his friend and end up crying loudly and Yash got up because of the sound of his cries and got to know everything and asked to tell every news channel that ACP Yashvardhan died because of a breathing problem. After that Atul gave a call to Vishnu and Vishnu asked him to come to a place to get Swati. They all went together to that place and found Swati's body hanging on the roof and Atul killed himself after seeing that.Now from all the 4 NCB police officers only two are left and they are Yash & Kamlesh but Vishnu still doesnt know that Yash is still alive so He called up Kamlesh and asked him to come and surrender himself to Vishnu so he will release Maya.
